My top 3 of Eurovision Song Contest 2011
The coolest twins in Europe, formed this years contribution from Ireland. Jedward became more then just to musical brothers, it's a phenomenon. They became celebrities after comming to the semi-final in X-Factor in Ireland with the song "Ice ice baby". With their characteristic hairstyles, they are easy to recognise. It's a shame that these two energy bombs didn't do better.
Ukraines contribution for Eurovision Songcontest 2011, was without doubt the most suprising one. Unlike most of their East-European neighbour countries, they had a contribution strongly inspired by Western European music. The song was calm and beautiful, that said, the best part, was the scene show. See the video for your self, but prepare to be amazed by how talented the artist who accompanies the singer on stage, with her live production of art - produced solely with sand. Amazing!
Each year, someone makes a point of that Israel isn't counted as European country anymore. That said, they was recognised as a part of Europe in the 70s. Anyway, they have more in common with the European countries then they have with their arab neighbours. Besides, we can all imagine what would happen if they were expected to arrange a song contest with Iran or Libya for that matter...
This years contribution is a former winner of the contest; Dana International. Her catchy song "Ding dong" didn't make it to the final unfortunately, but should have in my opinion. The whole song becomes a little humorous if you have in mind that the artist is a former male, a so called "shemale".

ahaha i lold at the costumes of the irish band
ReplyDeleteeurovision always makes me lol, with their wacky contributions
ReplyDeleteI really don't like Jedward that much, although I do find it funny how they have done better than almost all the people who finished higher than them in the X-Factor..
ReplyDeleteUnique and weird, but i like it.
ReplyDeleteEurovision is so crazy. Thanks for the videos, though.
ReplyDeleteeurovision is really lame! hehe
ReplyDeletei wont even comment on the portuguese act -___-" *portuguese here*
ReplyDeleteDefinite bias because i'm British, but Blue were by far the best act.
ReplyDeleteBlue were by far the best act (no bias!)
ReplyDeleteThe winning song was also pretty nice, and ofcourse the greek :)
ReplyDeleteIt's the same in Finland every year. First there's great hype about our artist and then we get like 2 points. Luckily I'm already used to it.
ReplyDeleteJedward suck bottom
ReplyDeleteI like Georgia xD
ReplyDeletethe Ukrainian girl is SO beautiful and talented. her performance was the best one.
ReplyDeleteI like number 2 more then number 1 to be honest
ReplyDeleteI had heard so much about Jedward before yesterday - but when I finally heard them I ended up more annoyed than pleased. The Ukranian song and scene was beautiful, though. Overall, this year was pretty lame in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteDing dong was great, Angel not so much...
ReplyDeleteIreland was my favorite too
ReplyDeleteLike rage, I like 2 more than 1.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I didn't watch more than 10 minutes of it this year. Some of the songs on yesterday were just awful, and that included those twins for me. But that's just personal preference :P
ReplyDeleteThese are very unique videos! I really enjoyed Angel by mika newton! Keep up the great posts! Following for sure.
ReplyDeletewhat is eurovision?
ReplyDeleteNeed to see something like this in America.
ReplyDeletei've never even heard of eurovision until now
ReplyDeleteI have avoided the Eurovision Song Contest every time.
ReplyDeleteThe first video is completely ridiculous
ReplyDeleteNice post. The art in the second video is really cool.
ReplyDeleteI missed this year's contest. Will be watching next year though! Also, sweden failed to choose a decent artist, we always go for some cute young girl or boy...
ReplyDeleteI agree, Ding Dong is so catchy!
ReplyDeleteOh Ireland, when will you stop being funny?
ReplyDeleteHrm... so another contest that I haven't heard of. All I can say is at least this one is really unique. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI need to keep up with these shows.
ReplyDeleteI missed it this time round, but it does usually make me laugh. What a shame. There's always next year.
ReplyDeleteNumber 1, the hair was CRAZY, but not suited for my tastes. The woman in the second video; however. her voice won me over, dang.
ReplyDeleteireland made me lol
ReplyDeleteFirst video is scary. No homo.
ReplyDeleteWow, really amazing song by the Ukrainian.
ReplyDeleteWow, Ireland were good.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how well Italy did too.
I really loved their song, so great for their first entry.
I REALLY didn't see Azerbaijan winning though, so strange...
It's such a shame that they tend to vote along political lines instead of for the song they actually liked the best, but I don't think they did that this time.
I hate Jedward so much...
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought the first videos dancing wasn't as good because they weren't in sync, but now I think it adds character and makes it more interesting :)
ReplyDeleteAlthough I want to hate Jedward, it's impossible!
